Keep Up With It

OK, it is a well known fact that most people just hate cleaning. It is not so much the actual dirt which gets to us, after all it is our own dust and grime, but the sheer boredom of having to traipse though the house with the duster and hoover when we could be doing something else far more interesting instead.

And it is not just the cleaning but the associated chores which are a part of modern day life. There is also the washing and the ironing and don't you just hate it when you wash a load of clothes only to find that there was a tissue or holiday money card in the jeans pocket and you have to start all over again.

Having been a reluctant cleaner for many years now, I have come to realise that however much I hate it, it will be far more painful if I leave the grime to build up.

Just tidying up as I go and a spot of cleaning here and there makes it much easier and means that I do not have to spend my whole weekend cleaning.

Keeping on top of it is definitely the best option and while I can never claim that my house is the cleanest in the country, at least I am never ashamed if anyone pops in for a cup of tea!
